What's old is new again and that's why, next Wednesday, we're putting on a macrame class in Lexington, Kentucky at the very cool shared space seventh + lime. The class will be led by Maddison Wilkerson of West Domestic. Let's talk about what macrame is and why you're going to be down to give it a try.
What is Macrame?
Macrame was all over the place in the 70s. It's tying decorative knots by hand. Pretty simple, right? In our class you'll learn how to create a macrame plant hanger. But that's not all you can do with macrame.
Check out the macrame hashtag on Instagram and you'll se that people are also creating:
- wall hangings
- Key chains
- Baby swings
Yes, baby swings.
How Do You Do Macrame?
No worries, Maddison will guide your class through every step. She brings the supplies, including a rack to knot your cotton strings to so that you can work with ease. You'll learn the different beginners' knots.
Ready to sign up? Today is the last day to save $10 on early bird pricing. Louisville folks, don't worry, we'll get Maddison back on the schedule for another class in the Derby City soon!
