What do I need to bring for my class?
Once you register, you’ll get an email detailing everything you need to know - location information, materials, and more. We provide everything you need for the majority of our classes, so if no materials are in the email you can just bring yourself! If you’re taking a computer-based class like graphic design or digital illustration, you’ll definitely need to bring a laptop.
Every time I try to get into a class, it’s already full! Can you help me?
Don’t give up! We are constantly opening new class dates, and we offer every class multiple times throughout the year. Email subscribers learn about our new classes before anyone else, so the best advice we have is to sign up for our newsletter HERE. You’ll get a list of new classes in your inbox every Tuesday morning, and you’ll also get the inside scoop for news or updates about all things LevelUp.
Will I get a reminder email?
Yes! You should get an email as soon as you register, and then a quick reminder a day or two before the class.
Can you put me on a waiting list in the event that a spot in a full class opens up?
I have a great idea for a LevelUp class that I think people would totally love, how do I get in contact with you ?
We love hearing class suggestions and try to take them all into account as we roll out new classes. If you have an idea (or 10) for a topic that would make for a great pop-up class, let us know all about it by contacting us HERE.
Cancelations / Refunds
I signed up for a class, but something came up and I cannot attend. What is your refund policy?
Our refund policy requires 48 hours notice in order to issue a full refund and release your class spot. It’s just like any live event - if we don’t get enough notice, it’s unfortunately not possible for us to find someone to take your place. As long as you email us 48 hours in advance though, we are more than happy to process your refund and open your spot in the class back up.
I signed up for a class, but something came up less than 48 hours ahead of time. Now what?
We’re not able to offer refunds or class credits with less than 48 hours notice, but we’re happy to accept a friend in your place! Plus, you’ll get major points with whoever you send to class. Just shoot us a quick email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the name of the person taking your place so we can swap it out on our roster.
I cannot attend the class I signed up for, but I really want to come to a class! Do you offer transfers into other classes or credit toward signing up for one in the future?
Because our class schedule changes each month, we do not offer credits or class transfers at this time.
Teaching / Hosting
I'm an expert on my field and I would love to teach a class, how do I go about it?
We are always accepting proposals for new classes! If you have experience in a skill that you would love to teach/share, we’d love to hear more. Think of your class proposal as an overview of how you would like to structure and design a two-hour class. Great things to include in your proposal would be: an outline of the topic(s) you want to teach, what students should expect to learn, materials required (and cost, if possible!), and anything else you feel like we should know!
Once you’ve arranged your proposal, you can submit it using HERE. From there, we will review it and see if your class proposal sounds like a good fit for our upcoming class schedule!
I’d like to apply to be part of your team and teach a subject that you currently offer. Do you have a need for more than one teacher per skill?
As we continue to expand, we love to have contacts in the event that our subjects call for multiple teachers. Feel free to reach out so we can keep in contact with you for the future.
Other random stuff...
A LevelUp class would be a totally awesome gift for my friend/mom/bff. Can I get them a gift card?
Stay tuned for gift cards to be available later this year! If you would like to gift someone a certain class in the meantime, feel free to just sign them up for a class using the normal process and type their name at the bottom portion of the checkout page. Please be aware that confirmation emails are sent out after sign ups, so it’s up to you to decide if you’d like to put the recipient’s email or your own so that you can reveal the surprise on your own timeline.
